How buying furniture online actually works
Buying furniture online is a different job from walking a showroom floor. This is the short version of how it works here, what it means for the price you pay, and where the limits are.
Where the price difference comes from
Two things, and neither of them is a trick. We work directly with manufacturers rather than buying through a distributor and a showroom chain. And there is no shop front here, so there is no showroom rent, no showroom staff and no store fit-out sitting on top of the item.
Measure before you order
Every product page publishes the dimensions the supplier gives us, in centimetres. Measure the space, and measure the route the piece has to travel to get there: doorways, stair turns and lift depths are what actually catch people out on a sofa or a bed frame.
Reading a listing here
Every specification on a product page is the one the supplier publishes for that item. Where a figure is not published, the page says so and invites you to ask, rather than borrowing a number from a similar product. That is deliberate: a plausible specification you cannot stand behind is worse than an honest gap.
Assembly
Most of this range is flat packed and assembled at home. Where the listing describes what is involved, that is what is involved. Where it does not, the supplier has not given us assembly detail and we would rather say so than promise you a tool-free build.
Delivery and what it costs
Delivery is free across Australia on orders of $100 or more, and $25 below that. Express Shipping is $25 and is charged whatever the order is worth. Orders are handled in 24 to 48 hours and then take 5 to 7 days, so allow about a week end to end. A tracking number is emailed when the parcel actually ships, not when you order.
If you change your mind
You have 15 days from purchase to return an unused item in its original packaging. You pay the return postage using a tracked service and a $39 per order packing and handling fee is not refunded. A faulty, damaged or wrongly described item is a different matter entirely: under the Australian Consumer Law you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund, we carry the return postage, and no handling fee applies.
